For many motorists, using a Breeze tag account to access EastLink will be less expensive compared to using a Breeze non-tag account or an EastLink trip pass. Using a tag means you won't need to pay the image processing fee that is charged for each trip made with a non-tag account, and unlike the trip pass you will only be charged for the toll zone sections you travel on. Breeze tags are also convenient, as they work on all tollways in Australia.
The Breeze tag has a stylish design, and we have worked hard to make it as small as possible. The Breeze tag is exclusive to Breeze - you can't get a tag with this design from anyone else. The Breeze tag comes with an easy-to-use tag holder that allows you to remove and replace the tag easily. Car tags issued for Breeze pre-paid tag accounts have no minimum annual usage amount - you can use a car tag as often or as little as you like, without penalty.
You can open a Breeze pre-paid tag account or non-tag account online at Breeze.com.au, by phone on 13 LINK (13 54 65), at an EastLink shop (Bayside, Box Hill, Chadstone, Dandenong Plaza, Knox City shopping centres) or at the EastLink customer centre (corner of Hillcrest Avenue and Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood, Melway Map 49 E 9).
If you already have a tag with a current tolling account, it will work on EastLink. EastLink tolls will be charged to your current tolling account. You don't need to get a Breeze tag, however you may choose to close your current tolling account and upgrade to the stylish Breeze tag. To close your current tolling account you would need to contact the company that provides the account, and return your old tag to them. You should never drive with more than one tag installed in your vehicle.
You can open a Breeze pre-paid tag account or non-tag account with an opening payment of $40. Even if you request more than one tag or link more than one vehicle to your account, your opening payment will still be just $40. Your opening payment will be credited to your account, so your pre-paid account balance starts at $40.
With a Breeze pre-paid tag account you can have a Breeze tag for each of your vehicles. You would only pay a single $40 account opening payment, even if you need more than one tag. We just ask that you provide us with the details of each of your vehicles, including their licence plate numbers. Car tags issued for Breeze pre-paid tag accounts have no minimum annual usage amount - you can use a car tag as often or as little as you like, without penalty. Light and heavy commercial vehicle tags have a minimum annual usage amount of $20 in EastLink tolls for each of the first three years after the tag is issued.
Yes. You must always attach your tag to the windscreen of your vehicle using the tag holder and by following the instructions that were provided with the tag. If you want to use your Breeze tag in more than one vehicle, you can ask us for an additional tag holder, at no extra charge.
Yes. Your Breeze tag will work on all tollways across Australia. When using your Breeze tag on any tollway, you will be charged the applicable toll with no additional roaming service fees.
No. When you use your Breeze tag on EastLink or any other tollway throughout Australia you will be charged the applicable toll with no additional roaming service fee.
Yes. You can contact us at any time to add other vehicles to your Breeze account. You can also choose whether you want an extra tag for the new vehicle. There is no charge for adding a vehicle or requesting an extra tag. Car tags issued for Breeze pre-paid tag accounts have no minimum annual usage amount - you can use a car tag as often or as little as you like, without penalty. Light and heavy commercial vehicle tags have a minimum annual usage amount of $20 in EastLink tolls for each of the first three years after the tag is issued.
Yes. Each Breeze tag is issued with one tag holder. Additional tag holders are available on request by phoning 13 LINK (13 54 65) at any time. There is no additional charge for additional tag holders.
Yes. You should contact us as soon as you sell or dispose of the vehicle so that we can remove it from your account. This will ensure you don't get charged tolls incurred by the new owner or driver.
Yes. You should contact us as soon as you discover that your Breeze tag is lost or stolen. This will ensure you don't get charged tolls incurred by someone else using your tag without authorisation. We may ask for a copy of a Police Report.

There is a range of payment options for your Breeze account. Automatic payment might be the most convenient option for you, with payments automatically charged to your nominated credit card or bank account. You might prefer the manual payment option, where we inform you that it's time to make a payment and we provide a range of payment locations and options, including online, by phone, at an EastLink shop or customer centre, and at Australia Post offices. Please note: Payments are currently not available at Bill EXPRESS newsagents or Coles Express outlets, as the company providing these services, Bill EXPRESS, is in administration.
When your account balance falls below your nominated minimum balance (minimum $10) we will notify you that it's time to make a top up payment by instructing your tag to beep three times (one beep followed by two quick beeps) when you drive under a tolling gantry. If you don't make a payment and your balance drops to a critical level we will send you a more detailed warning, for example by email or by letter.

Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club. We don't charge additional fees for using American Express or Diners Club.
Yes, provided you have chosen the manual payment option for your Breeze pre-paid account.
Yes. There are two options. The first option is to have a Breeze pre-paid tag account for your business. Your quarterly statement would be addressed to your business and can be used for tax purposes. The second option is the Breeze business account, which is invoiced monthly in arrears. With a Breeze business account you will need at least two tags or vehicles, and your application is subject to a credit check. To apply for a Breeze business account contact our Business Services Team on 1300 650 478.
